Sequoit Pride, ACHS Booster Club

The Dr. Bradford Hubbard Award

The Dr. Bradford Hubbard Award was established by the Sequoit Pride parent booster club in 2017 to honor Dr. Hubbard's outstanding commitment, dedication, and support of the Sequoit community. Every year, the Award honors one teacher, counselor, volunteer, administrator, or organization who emulates Principal Hubbard's outstanding commitment, dedication, love, and support of the Sequoit community. Honorees have gone above and beyond to enhance the ACHS culture, support growth, and cultivate a comprehensive and exemplary learning experience in our high school community. This award is permanently displayed at the Sequoit Pride Store in the Commons.

HOW DO I NOMINATE SOMEONE?
Please consider nominating any ACHS staff member (administrator, teacher, guidance counselor, support team member, etc) or volunteer or organization that has gone above and beyond to enhance the ACHS culture, support growth, and cultivate a comprehensive and exemplary learning experience in our high school community. You may email your nominees for consideration and/or questions to sequoit.boosters@chsd117.org by March 31st. Please include in your nomination the nominee's name and a few sentences describing why they should receive this award.

WHO IS DR. HUBBARD?
During his tenure as principal, Dr. Hubbard earned the respect and admiration of students, staff, parents, and the Antioch community. He supported our Sequoits by attending an unbelievable number of student events, home and away. He was frequently seen in the hallways throughout the day, offering students a smile, a congratulatory remark, compassion, and support. When challenges arose, Dr. Hubbard's leadership style made it easy for all to know how to react. He was caring yet firm. He was an ideal role model for the next generation. He encouraged Sequoits to "make it matter" and, every day, he spread that message by living it.

DID YOU KNOW... Raymond Auto Group supports Sequoit Pride in a huge way? Raymond Chevrolet and Raymond Kia pledged $50,000 over a ten year period. Their first payment allowed Sequoit Pride to paint "home of the Sequoits" on the Route 173 water tower and fund academic, athletic, artistic, and activity opportunities for ACHS students. Thank you, Raymond Auto Group!
